One box includes 3 Packets of 25 grams which can be used for three separate cleaning cycles.

•As part of normal preventive maintenance, espresso makers should be descaled approximately every 2-3 months or every 500 to 600 coffees (approximately every 4 to 5 master cases), depending on the volume of use and hardness of your local water supply.

•For a good operation of your espresso machine it needs regular descaling and it is also recommended when using filtered or bottled water. When performed properly and as necessary, descaling should help avoid any major service requirements and other related expenses and is considered to be a regular maintenance in keeping your machine functioning at its optimum level.

Instructions for use:

Dissolve contents of packet in 1 litre of water, mix and pour the solution into the coffee machine tank.
Power on the machine and press the coffee button to activate the pump and flush for 30 seconds in order to allow fresh solution to be absorbed in the system.

Wait 20 minutes with the machine turned on for the solution to take effect. If you have a Orange Rinsing Disc put it in the chamber where the capsule is inserted to allow for flushing in the front part of the system. Wait for the orange temperature light and then press the Coffee button and cycle out half of the contents of the tank. Once done push the steam button to allow for blue flashing light and wait for temperature light to turn on. Push the steam button again to remove the flashing blue light and then the coffee button to completely flush until there is no water left in the tank.

Rinse the tank properly and fill it with clean water. Activate the water by pressing the coffee button and rinse the internal parts with an empty orange capsule in the chamber and empty out at least two tanks of fresh water. Proceed until the smell of lemon is not noticeable in the water coming out of the cappuccino nozzle or where the cup is filled.
